1. Hello everyone! I would like to use tis post to ask a question: we are planning to use OpenSpliceDDS for the Jetson TX1 embedded system-on-module like the one described in http://elinux.org/Jetson_TX1. This platform has as its most porminent features Ubuntu 14.04.5, Linux For Tegra R24.1, JetPack-L4T-2.2.1. The architecture of this CPU is aarch64. I was wondering if, among the available versions of OpenSpliceDDS (http://www.prismtech.com/dds-community/software-downloads), there is a compatible one with the Jetson TX1 embedded system-on-module. Can anyone confirm this to me? In any case, thnak you very much for reading this post.

Invoking IDL pre processor

Hello, I am working on a linux 4.20 and ubuntu 15.10 virtual machine and my host is windows 7. I am trying to implement a simple chat message example using Data Distribution Service (DDS) protocol provided by Prismtech (Community Edition). I came across a tutorial where I have to invoke the Chat.idl. Below there is the code in the file, which contains body for interconnection between a server and a client. module Chat { const long MAX_NAME = 32; typedef string<MAX_NAME> nameType; struct ChatMessage { long userID; // owner of message long index; // message number string content; // message body }; #pragma keylist ChatMessage userID struct NameService { long userID; // unique user identification nameType name; // name of the user }; #pragma keylist NameService userID struct NamedMessage { long userID; //unique user identification nameType userName //user name long index; //message number string content; //message body }; #pragma keylist NamedMessage userID }; to invoke this i am supposed to type in "idlpp -S -l c Chat.idl" in my command-line (terminal). Below is my output from the terminal showing "IDL parser error: opening file chat.idl". -virtual-machine:~/HDE/x86.linux$ idlpp Usage: idlpp [-c preprocessor-path] [-b ORB-template-path] [-n <include-suffix>] [-I path] [-D macro[=definition]] [-S | -C] [-l (c | c++ | cpp | isocpp | isoc++ | cs | java)] [-j [old]:<new>] [-d directory] [-i] [-P dll_macro_name[,<h-file>]] [-o (dds-types | custom-psm | no-equality)] <filename> akhil@akhil-virtual-machine:~/HDE/x86.linux$ idlpp -S -l c chat.dil IDL parser error: opening file chat.dil Regards, Akhil

Vortex Lite lincense

Hello, I'm having trouble with installing Vortex Lite license. The situation is: I've downloaded version of Vortex Lite for Ubuntu linux. Also I have license file. But the problem is, when I try to use rml command, it says that there is no ISV servers to start. Is it me doing something wrong or what? Maybe someone could give me step by step tutorial how to install license?
4. Hi ! I'm trying to get a DomainParticipant build, however, I got a very annoying error I'm fighting with since some time. So I came here as I really am out of solution for my problem ... I got the following code : DDS::DomainParticipantFactory_ptr dpf = DDS::DomainParticipantFactory::get_instance(); const char* domain = "file://home/xaltar/PrismTech/HDE/x86.linux2.6/etc/config.ospl.xml"; DDS::DomainParticipant_var dpv = dpfp->create_participant(domain, PARTICIPANT_QOS_DEFAULT, NULL, 0); if(dpv.in() == NULL) { std::cout << "\nIsNull" << std::endl; } else { DDS::DomainParticipantFactory_var dpfv = DDS:DomainParticipantFactory::get_instance(); } The problem is that my Domain Participant Var is null, and I can't get anything from it. When I get the instance of the Domain Participant Factory Var, I got an error of "CORBA::NO_IMPLEMENT". And I can't help why ... Do you happen to know ?
5. Hi ! I'm pretty new to using OpenSplice and I've been in difficulties for quite a long time ... I've solved some, I still got two problems ... and there's one for which I'd reallly love some help because I'm quite lost ... I'm trying to execute the PingPong exemple from OpenSplice. So here's what happens : --------------------------------------------------------------- In [PingPong Folder] : "sudo make" Compiling pingpong.idl with SPLICE IDL Compiler [...] make: /bin/idlpp: Command not found make: *** [bld/pingpong.cpp] Error 127 --------------------------------------------------------------- I thought I had problems with my environment variables in /etc/bash.bashrc , but I've checked multiple time, they seem good ! Here they are : --------------------------------------------------------------- # OSPL OSPL_HOME="/home/xaltar/PrismTech/HDE/x86.linux2.6" OSPL_TARGET=x86.linux2.6 PATH=$OSPL_HOME/bin:$PATH LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$OSPL_HOME/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH CPATH=$OSPL_HOME/include:$OSPL_HOME/include/sys:$CPATH OSPL_TMPL_PATH=$OSPL_HOME/etc/idlpp OSPL_URI=file://$OSPL_HOME/etc/config/ospl.xml CLASSPATH=$CLASSPATH:$OSPL_HOME/jar/dcpssaj.jar export OSPL_HOME OSPL_TARGET PATH LD_LIBRARY_PATH CPATH OSPL_TMPL_PATH OSPL_URI CLASSPATH --------------------------------------------------------------- Well, if you happen to know how I could make that work, I'd be really grateful ! Thanks !
