Good morning, Our team is building an open source low level toolset for introspecting ROS 2 nodes (built on top of OpenSplice DDS implementation). We've got different tools already available: Inspecting DDS topics using Built-in types Inspection of DDS nodes using the durability property with an initial thread notifying about its existence etc. Once of the things we are pursuing is to get DDS communications over separate (non local) networks interconnected. Here's a a small sketch of a simple scenario we're trying to realize: Node 1 < ------ > Switch < ------ > Node 2 < ------ > Node 3 < ------ > Node 4 Let's assume the following: Node 2, Node 3 and Node 4 are in the 18.104.22.168 network. I can publish and subscribe in all this nodes. Node 1 is in the network 192.168.1.0, but I'm not able to subscribe to 22.214.171.124 network We are having trouble getting DDS nodes to forward DDS traffic to other network interfaces using IPv6. Also, we're having a hard time coming up with the right combination of ospl.xml configs that aid on this task. One of trials look like https://gist.github.com/ahcorde/9f3b7af1f10886dd3ab9. Our goal is to do so using IPv6 but we've also tested the same with IPv4 unsuccessfully. We'd appreciate any advice on this matter. Many thanks,
Hello, We're trying to get OpenSplice working with IPv6 but found that some attributes don't seem to be implemented. The issue has been described at https://github.com/PrismTech/opensplice/issues/24. Can someone inform about what's the status of IPv6? We are happy contributing but will need a few pointers. What's the quickest route to get it working? Many thanks,
